Hotel Landhaus Schweigl
The 50 kilometre long Ulten Valley is one of South Tyrol's largest tributary
valleys. It runs into the town of Lana, not far from Meran in the Etsch
Valley. It stretches out in a south-westerly direction and is bordered by
the eastern slopes of the Ortles Mountains.
There are four villages in the valley, above which numerous farms dot the
extensive meadows.
Higher up the woods end, giving way to mountain pastures and lakes, out of which rise mountain peaks, most of which are easy to climb. Some of them are 3,000 metres high and covered by glaciers.
