The landscape in this small corner of Tuscany is one of green hillsides, covered with a characteristic mix of alpine vegetation and, owing to its proximity to the coast, Mediterranean garrigue. At the foot of the hills between Pisa and nearby Lucca sits the magnificent Villa Cheli, one of the famous villas of the area restored in 18th Century style. It was the home of the sculptor Guido Cheli, who filled the villa with fine casts of mythological and contemporary figures, including Pascoli and Puccini (currently being restored).
The main body of the villa houses a number of comfortable and spacious guest rooms, each with solid, hand-painted furniture, wrought-iron beds and luxury bathrooms. The cottage contains a number of two-room apartments of varying sizes, with rustic chestnut furniture, modern bathrooms, a kitchen area and terrace. The thick walls keep them cool in summer.
The Villa Cheli hotel has recently renovated guestrooms, offering a high standard of comfort and all with private facilities, air conditioning, TV, telephone and free access to the hotel Wi-Fi network. The interior furnishings have been carefully chosen to match the 18th Century style of the villa and create a calm, intimate and romantic atmosphere, in which traditional features go hand in hand with all modern comforts. For guests looking for a little extra, we have a junior suite, offering maximum comfort down to the very last detail.
Our aim is to offer a unique stay, by ensuring our guests are both satisfied and well looked after, while at the same time respecting their privacy.
In addition to the guestrooms, the Villa Cheli Hotel has a number of welcoming, comfortable and airy apartments for two, three or four persons. These are suitable for both couples and families, for short breaks or longer stays. All the apartments have a telephone, air conditioning, Sat-TV, private bathroom and kitchen area, as well as all the usual facilities.
