The Hotel has an elegant and refined structure. Its characteristic horseshoe shape is surrounded by majestic pine trees, creating a natural oasis of exceptional beauty. The two palm trees at the entrance welcome guests, who will have the opportunity to explore the beautiful Maremma coast, the varied hinterland, as well as major cities with a timeless charm like Massa Marittima, Siena, Florence and Rome. The hotel skirts the coast of Marina di Grosseto, a well-known tourist area and seaside resort in Maremma, the most natural and unspoiled part of Tuscany. A visit to this area offers the chance to discover an enchanting environment, letting yourself be seduced by the perfect combination of tourist attractions and natural beauty.
The Hotel Terme Marine Leopoldo II, a four-star hotel, is located in lush pine woods, just 100 meters away from the Tyrrhenian coast, in one of the greenest areas of Tuscany. The hotel offers its customers a unique experience of relaxation and well-being, taking advantage of its well-equipped spa and wellness center, immersed in a natural setting of great beauty. The suites each have a large private terrace with a beautiful sea view. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, direct phone, WiFi internet, safe, and minibar. The beautifully appointed bathrooms have showers and hairdryers. To provide our guests an atmosphere of relaxation and regeneration, Hotel Terme Marine offers 150 rooms. All rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated with fine furnishings. Marble floors and briar-root trim create an atmosphere of restrained elegance. The common areas are bright with the natural light filtered through the pine trees shading the hotel and grounds.
According to legend, the goddess Venus, when she emerged from the waters of the Tyrrhenian, she dropped seven pearls from her necklace, which fell into the sea and became the seven islands of the Tuscan Archipelago. Today, as if to confirm their divine origin, these islands are still real jewels. Elba, the largest of the Archipelago, has sandy beaches and picturesque coves. You can see the villas where Napoleon stayed during his exile and the old iron mines. The island of Capraia, located in the Channel of Corsica, with its rugged coastline is now the center of a protected whale sanctuary. The island of Giglio is an area of extraordinary natural beauty, with colorful beaches, cliffs and sandy expanses. Charming Giannutri has intriguing rugged rocky coves, very interesting for divers. Pianosa, the only flat island, offers a beautiful white sandy beach where you can see the ruins of a Roman villa. Montecristo, the wildest and most solitary island of the Tuscan Archipelago, has always been uninhabited. Gorgona, with its 220 hectares the smallest of the archipelago, is rich in typical Mediterranean vegetation. The three islands of the Formiche, arranged in a row one behind the other, emerge from the clear waters and are especially attractive to divers.
The hotel offers the following services: 150 rooms of different types: standard, comfort, superior and suites, two bars, a restaurant holding up to 300 people, breakfast room, reception service 24 hours a day, tourist information, arranging rental of mountain bikes, reservations for mini-cruises in the Tuscan archipelago, private beach, and concierge; pets are allowed.
In 2012, new services will be added, designed to meet any need, including: a wellness center with swimming pools, thermal spa, shops, covered parking and garage, babysitting, and shuttle service.
The favorable location of the Hotel offers easy access to the beach, one of the largest on the coast. A beautiful beach with fine sand and clear water characterizes one of the most popular stretches of beach in Marina di Grosseto. The coast offers opportunities to relax and have fun. The beach area is equipped with large umbrellas and comfortable sun beds to ensure a regenerating stay. At the Sale Marino Restaurant, guests can enjoy the delights of Italian cuisine in a charming, sophisticated ambience. Subscribing to the philosophy of pleasure in food, an essential part of the good life, our chef and his team offer a tasty menu featuring Tuscan dishes.
Ingredients are always fresh and wholesome, promoting health and wellness and aiming at preservation of the flavors of Italian cuisine, especially the Maremma area. The excellent service enhances our guests' dining experience. On request, the chef can prepare menus tailored to special needs. For those who love this form of relaxation, the hotel offers a brand new spa, whose water flows through the pine woods of the hotel grounds; its therapeutic qualities are recognized by the Italian Ministry of Health. The center covers an area of 400 square meters and offers inhalations, mud packs, and thermal baths. Inside, you can relax in the thermal indoor pool or take advantage of services such as: treatment with Moroccan black soap on a hammam bed, salt cave, aromatic Turkish bath, Finnish sauna, relaxation area, Jacuzzi, gym and fitness center. In addition, a large wellness area of 300 square meters is devoted to massages and beauty treatments.
