Position: panoramic, in the National Park of Abruzzo
You'll find it hard to believe that, after the town of Pescasseroli, after the big hotels and the residence self-catering structures, continuing towards the ski-lift systems, in the winter for skiers and in the summer transporting you up to the top of the mountains for an unforgettable excursion, there are those bends and the road which continues on upwards. You arrive and, quite unexpectedly, it is there in front of you, like a little marzipan house, a sugar-loaf trick.
Up on a hillside, perched like a wolf howling at the moon, here is the little Valle del Lupo Hotel, surrounded by a beautiful and inspiring panorama. You walk into your bedroom and look out of the window, it is evening now and there is an almost absolute silence, broken every now and then by the sound of the odd cow-bell.
The small hotel is clean and well cared for and is run by two sisters; they were born and grew up in Pescasseroli and they know all the ins-and-outs of the small town, its inhabitants, its admirers and its defamers. Friendly and a little eccentric, they are sure to help you pass a truly memorable holiday there.
